$420.50 on gas for ~3600 mile round trip at an average of 24mpg (fully loaded car w/ 4 people and clothes, etc)
$155 for TT.Net Dinner (3 people)
$550 for ZCon Registration (3 people + track events)
$150 for Hotels in TN (for the trips back and forth, stay with family in Garland for the Convention)
And then I have a few "other" expenses...Since my father was going he offered to foot the bill for the Dinner and the Registration in advance, so I've got my share of that to pay back... But I charged about $750 onto my credit card during the trip... which was my half of the gas money, food while I was there, liquor and "other" activities while in the area... lol. But it was worth every penny Last year... I think I dropped about $1200 for the family to go up to Syracuse... (drove my truck, stayed in the hotel for the convention 4 of the 5 nights, then stayed with family in Binghamton [sp?] on the way back). When I went in O2, I think I dropped like $1000+ to drive out and back... plus GamblerZ provided me a plane ticket that was supposed to get me there, but I used the ticket to fly my wife and son out! Thanks again Peter, I'll never forget that! If you're going by yourself, and driving... expect to drop ~$1k for the week. But its money well spent. You can penny pinch if you need to. Share a room, etc... (Talk to Bilbo, that man knows how to split a hotel room 10 ways... don't ask).
